Diagnostic Evaluation · Focused Assessment · Clinical Supervision

Clinical Clarity. Carefully Documented Findings.

Independent diagnostic, regulatory, and immigration-related evaluations for adults, careful documentation for consequential decisions, and clinical supervision grounded in real-world practice.

Based in Tucson, Arizona, with telehealth services available where licensure and service requirements permit. A strictly limited Thursday-only psychotherapy caseload serves adults physically located in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island during appointments.

01 / Evaluations & Letters

Clear questions. Careful assessment. Useful documentation.

Independent diagnostic and regulatory evaluations, with clearly defined questions, transparent fees, and findings grounded in the assessment.

Each evaluation begins with a defined question. Clinical interviews, relevant records, and appropriately selected standardized measures inform findings, recommendations, and documentation tailored to the purpose of the assessment. Reports distinguish information provided by the person being evaluated, available records, clinical observations, and the evaluator’s conclusions. Findings remain independent of the outcome a referring party may seek.

Adult ADHD & Diagnostic Evaluations

Understand what is affecting attention, organization, and follow-through.

Focused adult evaluations examine attention difficulties, executive dysfunction, and the possibility of overlapping or alternative explanations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other relevant clinical factors.

Assessment integrates clinical history and functional concerns with standardized measures such as the Brown Executive Function/Attention Scales, Beck Depression Inventory–II (BDI-II), and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), selected as clinically appropriate. Rating-scale findings are interpreted alongside the broader assessment.

A written report explains the findings, diagnostic reasoning, and recommendations. With your authorization, it can inform discussions with your prescriber or support a workplace accommodation request. Prescribers make medication decisions, and employers determine accommodation requests through their own processes.

$650 flat fee · Self-pay

Includes the clinical interview, selected standardized measures, and written diagnostic report. The service agreement confirms appointment arrangements and any feedback session before scheduling.

DOT SAP Return-to-Duty Evaluations

An independent assessment for a regulated return-to-duty process.

Initial and follow-up Substance Abuse Professional evaluations for safety-sensitive employees following a DOT drug or alcohol violation, conducted under 49 CFR Part 40.

The initial evaluation establishes recommendations for education and/or treatment. The follow-up evaluation assesses successful compliance with those recommendations. When successful compliance is established, the SAP establishes the required follow-up testing plan. Employer decisions and required testing remain separate steps in the return-to-duty process. Successful compliance findings do not guarantee employment or a return-to-duty outcome.

Scheduling follows review of the relevant documentation, designation requirements, and payment.

DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP)
SAP Certificate No. 26730912
Expiration: September 12, 2029

$350 initial evaluation · $300 follow-up evaluation

Each evaluation is billed separately. Education, treatment, and drug/alcohol testing are separate services and are not included in these evaluation fees.

Immigration Psychological Hardship Evaluations

Careful clinical documentation of hardship, trauma, and daily functioning.

Now accepting inquiries for immigration-related psychological evaluations involving extreme hardship waivers (I-601/I-601A), VAWA petitions, U-Visas, T-Visas, and asylum matters.

The assessment explores relevant history, trauma and stress symptoms, relationships, and effects on daily life. Measures are selected for the referral question and may include the TSI-2, PCL-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and WHODAS 2.0. Vineland-3 may be included when adaptive functioning is relevant. Instrument selection also considers age, language, and administration requirements; every case does not require every measure.

Immigration evaluation methodology draws on educational frameworks from Marc Sadoff and the Immigration Evaluation Training Center. Structured interviewing, record review, and clinical interpretation inform a report that identifies its sources and limitations.

With your authorization, coordination with your attorney helps clarify the referral question and documentation needs. The written report explains the referral question, information reviewed, assessment methods, clinical findings, and limitations; your attorney directs legal strategy, and immigration authorities determine eligibility and the outcome of the matter.

$1,200–$1,500 flat fee · Self-pay

A case-specific written quote confirms the exact fee, included assessment and report, and agreed scope before scheduling.

02 / Limited Caseload Telehealth Psychotherapy

When understanding the pattern isn’t enough.

Somatic and AEDP-informed psychotherapy for adults who keep functioning while their minds keep circling.

You may be skilled at analyzing yourself, anticipating problems, and explaining why you feel the way you do. Yet insight can coexist with tension, emotional distance, and the sense that you cannot put anything down.

I work with adults who find themselves caught in rumination and intellectualization. Our work brings attention to emotional and bodily experience, alongside the meaning you make of it.

An active, relational approach.

I am an AEDP Level 1–trained clinician and AEDP Institute Immersion graduate. My approach integrates that foundation with relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed practice.

Thinking things through may have helped you stay capable, prepared, or protected. We can respect that history while noticing when another round of explanation moves you farther from what you are feeling.

I listen closely and speak plainly. When we are circling, I may name it and invite a pause. Together, we can notice the tightening in your chest, the shift in your voice, the urge to explain, or the moment you lose contact with what matters to you.

There is room for humor, anger, uncertainty, and disagreement. You can correct me, tell me when something misses, and arrive without having to perform being a good client.

From mental loops to felt experience.

Somatic pattern-interrupts are brief, collaborative shifts in attention. I may invite you to feel the support beneath your feet, orient to the room, or notice a sensation before returning to the story. We track what changes and adjust the pace together.

AEDP-informed work attends to emotional experience within the therapeutic relationship. The aim is to make room for feelings you have learned to manage through analysis, with greater choice about how you respond. We work toward more ease in your body and less pressure to think your way through every feeling.

We establish goals together and revisit whether therapy is helping, whether the frequency still makes sense, and what the next step should be.

Telehealth psychotherapy is available to adults physically located in Arizona, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island during each appointment. Scheduling and payment arrangements are confirmed before an intake is booked.

03 / Clinical Supervision & Consultation

Clear thinking for complicated clinical work.

Supervision offers a place to sharpen clinical judgment, examine the therapeutic relationship, and make thoughtful decisions when a case resists an easy answer.

I bring experience from inpatient psychiatry, trauma emergency departments, public mental health services, and independent practice. Our work connects clinical reflection with the responsibilities of documentation, boundaries, safety, and professional accountability.

Associate Licensure Supervision

Clinical supervision for eligible social workers pursuing independent licensure in Arizona, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island.

We attend to case formulation, diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, ethical decisions, and the emotional demands of practice. Eligibility, supervision frequency, documentation, and applicable board requirements are confirmed before we begin.

04 / About Tony & Beyond the Practice

Attention is where the work begins.

I grew up in northern Rhode Island, in a two-family house built by my grandfather, surrounded by love in every way that mattered. Music, film, books, and performance taught me to pay attention to lives beyond my own. I now live in Tucson, where the desert offers a different landscape for that same attention.

That attention carries into my clinical work: listening closely, noticing what is difficult to put into words, and asking questions that help clarify the situation.

Before private practice, I worked in inpatient psychiatry, trauma emergency departments, and public mental health services. Those settings taught me to remain grounded when symptoms are serious, diagnoses overlap, or several systems are involved. They also taught me that useful clinical work must account for the practical realities surrounding a person’s life.

Today, my practice centers on independent diagnostic, regulatory, and immigration-related evaluations, alongside clinical supervision and reflective case consultation. I value clear reasoning, careful documentation, and conclusions that can be explained. An assessment should help the person receiving it understand what was considered, what was found, and what those findings mean.

I also maintain a limited Thursday-only psychotherapy caseload. I am an AEDP Level 1–trained clinician and AEDP Institute Immersion graduate, with a relational, experiential, and trauma-informed approach. I work with adults who function well outwardly while getting caught in overthinking, emotional distance, or constant self-monitoring. Through direct conversation, attention to the relationship, and collaborative somatic work, we explore what happens beneath the explanation and work toward greater emotional contact and bodily ease. I am active in the room, comfortable with direct questions, and open to humor and disagreement.

Based in Tucson, I work with adults and clinicians through services whose availability depends on licensure, location, and the requirements of the particular engagement.

Across these roles, I bring careful listening, plain language, and respect for the person in front of me.
