Massachusetts Group-Practice Services

Headway Commercial Insurance · RI & AZ

Commercial insurance billing may be available through Headway when the CANS is clinically incorporated into a medically necessary comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, generally billed under CPT 90791 when appropriate. Coverage is not guaranteed and depends upon plan benefits, network status, medical-necessity requirements, authorization rules, deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

Insurance-based care does not automatically include specialized reports, school consultation, extensive collateral review, agency conferencing, or independent-purpose documentation unless those services are covered and clinically appropriate.

Direct Consultation & Private Pay · RI & AZ

Private-pay services are available directly through Anthony Vario, LLC for families, educational consultants, agencies, and other retaining parties seeking CANS-informed consultation outside managed-care or insurance requirements.

Depending upon the agreed scope, services may include clinical interviews, record review, authorized collateral consultation, CANS scoring and functional formulation, specialized written reporting, and treatment-planning, educational-advocacy, or care-coordination recommendations. Scope, fee, required records, deliverables, and anticipated timeframe are established in writing before services begin.

Important Scope Notice

The CANS supports decisions.
It does not make them by itself.

The CANS is an information-integration and service-planning tool. It is not, by itself, a psychological or neuropsychological test battery and does not independently establish eligibility for special education, determine custody, or replace evaluations required by a school district, court, government agency, or other decision-making authority.

A clinical CANS assessment does not create a forensic evaluation or court-retained relationship. Any service intended for litigation, testimony, custody proceedings, or another contested legal purpose requires a separate written retainer defining the evaluator’s role, scope, fees, records, and anticipated use of the work.

Submitting an inquiry does not establish a clinician-client or evaluator-client relationship. Services begin only after eligibility, scope, informed-consent requirements, and the appropriate clinical or consultation agreement have been completed.
